Stay in our home
Whilst our first 2 guest units are busy being built, we have started by welcoming guests into our home.
Guests sleep in one of 2 guest bedrooms in our main farmhouse and sit with us around our family table at mealtimes.
There are 2 guest bathrooms. But, since there is only one with a shower, we only take one booking at a time, even if that is only one person.
Rooms can be made up as twins or doubles.
We can always make a plan to accommodate more people, especially kids.
Personal
Be hosted by the family who has farmed in Namibia and South Africa for over 300 years … and a strange new soutie.
Have the opportunity to talk to us about anything you would like to.
Ask for a guided tour of our farmstead … by us.
Homely
Enjoy our home-cooked meals with local produce from our farm and the neighbours.
Relax or play outside with our friendly cats & dogs.
Explore the farm as if it was your own.
Peaceful
Immerse yourself in a different world, surrounded by nature, farm animals, and wildlife.
Find your own little spot in the middle of nowhere and rediscover why Gary Snyder said:
“Nature is not a place to visit. It is home.”
Guest bedrooms
There are 2 guest bedrooms. The Dassie Room and the Kudu Room.
Both bedrooms include:
- Either twin or double bedroom layout.
- Generous cupboard space.
- Valley views.
- Access to 2 bathrooms, dedicated to our guests.
- Full access to the kitchen, dining area, living area, and stoep (veranda).
Where the rooms differ is that the Dassie Room has more windows than the Kudu Room.
Dassies like to lay in the sun to warm up in the mornings. Kudus are more adventurous at night time.
Drinks
We have a “Special Liquor License” along with a range of beers, wine, and spirits for you to purchase.
Guests are more than welcome to bring their own drinks and ask for some fridge space on arrival.
Our 4-Legged Companions
Please be aware that we have 4 dogs and 7 cats that live in the main farmhouse with us.
All the dogs are incredibly friendly. Sometimes too friendly.
They will be excited to see you arrive on the farm and will want to greet you immediately. We always do our best to have the dogs close to us when guests arrive but please be prepared to slow down as you approach our main farmhouse and to greet the dogs on your own. Any growling sounds that they make will be directed towards one of the other dogs and never towards our guests.
We have:
- 2 Jack Russells, named Jackson & Russell.
- A Border Collie, named Chewbacca (we all call him Chewie).
- A 70kg Rottweiler/Labrador, named Luke. Our gentle giant.
- 4 adult cats. Gizmo, Yoda, Zorra, & Pepper.
- 3 "teenage" cats. Felix, Pixie, & Jinx.
